Description
The Energy Absorber is one of the most critical components for fall protection and is required by OSHA when workers are exposed to a free fall hazard. Designed to limit maximum arrest forces while slowing the descent, our absorbers feature patented domestic manufactured tear webbing and the highest quality connectors. MAX Force personal energy absorbers are manufactured at our factory in Monroe, WA and are ensured for component compatibility with all Super Anchor Safety Personal Protection Equipment. An absolute must for fall protection.
Our Snaphook Series contains an ANSI Z359.12-09 3,600-pound gate strength Snaphook sewn onto the end of the absorber. This connects to the rear D-ring of the user’s full body harness. Maximum arresting force is 900 pounds with a maximum deployment length of 42”.
MAX Force Absorbers are also supplied with Fall Arresters and Integral Adjusters (mechanical rope grabs). Mechanical Fall Arresters and Integral Adjusters have single direction locking functions that require correct orientation when installed onto a lifeline. Fall Arresters are removed from the lifeline by unlocking a hinged gate mechanism. Integral Adjusters are not designed for removal from the lifeline. Factory attachment on the absorber eliminates 1 connector resulting in a lighter component. #4015-C/Z are Panic Grab types that prevent the worker from disabling the locking function during a free fall and comply with CSA Z259.5-12.

FAQs
Q Question: What does the MAX Force absorber do?
A: It deploys in a controlled way during a fall to limit the maximum arrest force on the worker and reduce the load transferred to the anchorage.
Q Question: How do I connect the snaphook and D-ring ends?
A: Clip the double-locking snaphook to a compatible, rated D-ring or anchorage connector as directed. Use the forged D-ring end as a clean connection point for your lanyard/SRL or a rated carabiner—maintain proper orientation and avoid side loading or cross-loading.
Q Question: Can I tie back to itself or use it for leading-edge work?
A: No. Do not tie the snaphook back onto the absorber or webbing unless the product is specifically rated for tie-back (this model isn’t). It’s not a leading-edge system; protect against sharp edges and use only with compatible anchors and connectors.
Q Question: Can it be reused after a fall, and what are the limits I should know?
A: If a fall is suspected or the tear indicator shows deployment, remove from service and replace. Typical limits include a user capacity of 130–310 lb (including tools/clothing), maximum free-fall up to 6 ft when configured per instructions, and a deceleration distance that may approach ~48 in—always verify on the product label and confirm required fall clearance for your setup.
