FAQs
- Q: What does the Ladder Leash do, and is it fall protection?
A: It secures an extension/straight ladder to a fixed structure to prevent kick-out and movement. It is not personal fall-arrest equipment and must not be used for fall protection.
-
Q: Where and how do I attach it?
A: Choke or clip the straps to the ladder rails or through a rung, then leash to a sound structural member (rafter, truss, post) or approved anchor point. Tighten the cam/cinch until the ladder is stable; avoid non-structural tie points.
-
Q: Which ladders is it compatible with?
A: Standard aluminum or fiberglass extension and straight ladders with conventional side rails/rungs. It’s not intended for stepladders or specialty ladders without suitable tie points.
-
Q: What inspection and care are recommended?
A: Inspect webbing and hardware before each use; remove from service if you see cuts, glazing, chemical damage, corrosion, deformation, or illegible labels. Clean with mild soap/water, air-dry, and store dry out of sunlight and chemicals.
