Our Deluxe Lifeline is made from 12 strand polyolefin cord that is rated for 11,600 pounds. The braided design does not twist or bind making for an easy-to-use, long lasting lifeline. We use an aluminum swage at the anchor end of the lifeline that is rated for over 5,000 pounds. Each lifeline has its own label package and serial number. Numerous lengths and options available.

• Q: What exactly is included, and what rope does the 4015 SuperGrab work with?
  A: The kit includes a 50 ft × 5/8 in 12-strand vertical lifeline with locking snaphook and the 4015 SuperGrab mechanical rope grab (with integral energy-absorbing element). The SuperGrab is designed for 5/8 in 12-strand vertical lifelines—don’t use it on smaller/larger diameters, double-braid, or kernmantle rope.
• Q: How should I rig and operate the SuperGrab on the lifeline?
  A: Anchor the lifeline above the work area to a 5,000 lb rated point. Install the SuperGrab in the correct orientation (anchor end “up”), connect it to your harness rear D-ring, and slide it upward as you climb; it follows you and locks during a fall. Keep the running end free of knots and debris, maintain the manufacturer-specified tail below the grab, and don’t bypass or remove the integral energy absorber.
• Q: What is the user capacity, and can more than one person use this lifeline at the same time?
  A: It’s a single-user system with a maximum 340 lb worker capacity including tools and equipment. Do not share the lifeline or anchor with another user unless a qualified person has engineered a multi-user system; maintain required fall clearance and keep the lifeline aligned with the expected fall path to reduce swing-fall.
• Q: What inspections and retirement rules apply to the rope and the SuperGrab?
  A: Inspect before each use and periodically by a competent person. Remove from service after any fall event or if you find cuts, glazing, heavy abrasion, chemical damage, UV degradation, damaged stitching or swage, corrosion/deformation, seized cams, or illegible labels. Clean rope with mild soap and water, air-dry away from heat, and store the kit clean and dry.
