    Description

The 30° angle fixed length, factory engineered Horizontal Lifeline System is for use by 3 workers in fall restraint or 2 in fall arrest. This system is available in a 20’ kit with or without a carry bag. This 3rd party engineered horizontal line kit is a cost-effective way to have multiple workers on the roof with room to move freely.

Engineering standards specify that a horizontal lifeline without an energy absorbing device subjected to fall hazards must have a 30° anchors between anchorage points. Super Anchor Safety fixed length horizontal lifelines, when used with our specified anchorage devices provide an engineered system for rafter spacing of 10’ up to 20’. For accurate rigging, each fixed length horizontal lifeline is labeled for the correct rafter spacing.

    Each Kit Contains:

    (1) 20 ft. Horizontal Lifeline kit, factory assembled with (2) hinged roof anchors, 3/8 in. cable, cable sliders, fasteners.

    Features:

    • 3rd Party Engineered 30° Angle HLL System
    • Extremely Cost Effective with Replaceable Parts

    Specifications

    • Device: temporary horizontal lifeline (HLL) kit for roof work; 20 ft span; rated for use on up to 30° roof slopes
    • Model: 1323 — 20 ft / 30-degree Horizontal Lifeline Kit
    • Intended Use: fall arrest or restraint for 1–2 users (jobsite and instructions permitting) as part of a compliant PFAS
    • Lifeline Length: adjustable up to 20 ft (usable span typically ~6–20 ft)
    • Lifeline Diameter: 5/8 in (≈16 mm)
    • Lifeline Material: 12-strand polyolefin copolymer rope (low water absorption, abrasion/UV resistant)
    • Inline Energy Absorber: integral pack to limit arrest forces (typical max arresting force ≤ 900 lb when used as directed)
    • Tensioning Device: steel ratchet/tensioner with captive take-up for consistent preload
    • Traveler/Connection Point: steel O-ring shuttle for user connector travel along the line
    • End Anchors (Included): pair of polyester anchor straps (≈36–48 in) with forged steel D-rings for choker attachment to structural members
    • Connectors (Included): ANSI-compliant steel carabiners/snap hooks (gate strength ≥ 3,600 lb)
    • Minimum Breaking Strength (System): ≥ 5,000 lb components; end anchorage strength requirement ≥ 5,000 lb each (or per qualified person/engineered requirement)
    • User Capacity: up to 2 users, each ≤ 340 lb including tools and equipment (observe spacing, clearance, and deflection limits per instructions)
    • Dimensions (Packed): approx. 12 in × 10 in × 8 in storage size (bagged kit)
    • Weight (Kit): ~9–12 lb total (rope, energy absorber, tensioner, anchors, connectors, bag)
    • Materials (Hardware): galvanized or zinc-plated steel tensioner, O-ring, and connectors
    • Materials (Anchors): heavy-duty polyester webbing with forged steel D-rings
    • Temperature Range: about −30 °F to 120 °F (typical jobsite conditions)
    • Compliance: OSHA 1926.502; ANSI Z359.1 (system use); follow manufacturer instructions for HLL setup and clearances
    • Inspection/Retirement: inspect before each use and periodically by a competent person; remove from service after any fall event or if cuts, glazing, abrasion, chemical/UV damage, deformation, corrosion, or label loss are observed
    • Use Notes: mount ends to sound structural members only; maintain required fall clearance accounting for sag/deflection; avoid sharp edges (use edge protection); do not tie knots in lifeline; do not exceed user count or span without engineering approval

    FAQs

    • Q: How many users can it support?
A: Up to 2 users, each ≤ 340 lb including tools, when set up per the manual and with adequate clearance.
    • Q: What span and roof slope are allowed?
A: Adjustable up to 20 ft span on roof pitches up to 30°.
    • Q: What anchorage is required at each end?
A: Structural members rated ≥ 5,000 lb (or as engineered by a qualified person).
    • Q: What comes in the kit for force control and setup?
A: An inline energy absorber and a ratchet tensioner; pre-tension per instructions, keep the line knot-free, and protect from sharp edges.
