Description
The S-5! AE Aluminum End Clamp is a dedicated component of the SnoRail and SnoFence snow retention systems. It is designed to be installed at the ends of SnoRod runs and at intermediate fixed positions to prevent the rods from migrating laterally. Unlike standard intermediate clamps, the AE End Clamp fixes the rod firmly in place, while other clamps allow thermal expansion and contraction. Constructed of durable aluminum with stainless steel hardware, it ensures secure anchoring and long service life. The AE is required at both ends of a system and approximately every 50 feet along its length to maintain performance under snow loads.
Key Features:
• Locks SnoRod laterally at system ends and fixed intervals
• Durable aluminum body with stainless steel setscrews
• Works in combination with ASF clamps for SnoRail/SnoFence assemblies
• Prevents rod migration while allowing thermal movement in other positions
• Required at both ends and every 50 feet for long-term stability
Specifications
• Material: Aluminum body; stainless steel hardware
• Rod compatibility: 3/8″ (9.5 mm) SnoRod
• Use frequency: One AE End Clamp at each end and one per ~50 feet of SnoRail/SnoFence assembly
• Function: End/fixed-position clamp to prevent lateral rod movement
• Includes: Clamp body and stainless steel setscrews
How To
Plan SnoRail or SnoFence layout and mark end positions and fixed points at ~50-foot intervals.
Install ASF intermediate clamps and feed SnoRod through them.
Place AE End Clamp at the end of the rod run or at designated fixed interval.
Insert SnoRod into the clamp’s rod hole.
Tighten stainless setscrews to specified torque to lock rod in place.
Re-check clamp alignment and fastener tightness periodically after load cycles.
