• Ensure the heat gun is unplugged and completely cooled down before beginning any work. 
• Remove the four mounting screws securing the heater tube to the handle assembly, and slide off the mica tube and gasket. 
• Gently rock and pull the old element out of the socket mount, then align the prongs of the new element with the corresponding sockets and press firmly into place. 
• Reinstall the gasket, mica tube, and heater tube; secure with the four mounting screws. Check that all parts are seated correctly and free of debris. 
• Plug in the heat gun, allow it to reach temperature, and test air flow and heat output in a safe area before resuming normal work.
