R.M. Lucas 776 - Elite Flashing Cement Rubberized 10 oz. Tube

Lucas #776 Elite™ Flashing Cement is designed as a super-premium, high-performance flashing cement intended for use on modified bitumen and asphalt roofs. It is also an excellent cold process inter-ply adhesive for SBS modified bitumen single-ply membranes. Cold process adhesives eliminate the need for hazardous torches and hot asphalt kettles. Also an excellent form tie cement for use with rubberized asphalt waterproofing systems. Lucas Elite™ Flashing Cement is the highest quality, most versatile asphalt based roof cement ever developed. This distinctive product is intended for use by quality driven roofing professionals who demand that their material meet the highest performance standards. Its outstanding adhesion to wet, dry and even underwater surfaces allows application in any conditions. With wider usable temperature ranges, Lucas Elite™ Flashing Cement applies easily at seasonal temperature extremes. Meets ASTM D-4586 and 100% adhesion to wet surfaces when tested according to ASTM D-3409. Lucas Elite™ is co-polymer modified and exhibits rubber like elastomeric properties. It is able to accommodate movement that will cause a conventional roof cement to fail. Reinforced with polyolefin micro-fibers for superior tensile strength and a smooth uniform surface texture. Improved adhesion to all surfaces, including when wet or underwater, is guaranteed by hydrophobic surface active additives including Lucas SI-2, a unique low surface tension adhesion promoter.

APPLICATION

Apply with a standard pointed roofer’s trowel, 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Surface must be clean and sound. Embed polyester or other reinforcement for increased strength. On wet surfaces some pressure may be required to displace the water. When used as an adhesive for SBS modified bitumen roofing, apply with a 1/8 inch notched trowel. Allow 10 to 15 minutes open time to allow for some of the solvent to evaporate before laying down the modified bitumen. Clean up with Lucas #125 Safe Solve™.
