• Position the machine at the start of the membrane overlap, ensuring the work area is clear and the roof surface is suitably prepared (clean, free of loose debris or moisture). 
• Set the digital controls for the desired seam width (either 80 mm or 100 mm), the welding speed (1.0–10.0 m/min), and the temperature (50 °C to 700 °C) as appropriate for your membrane type and manufacturer’s instructions. 
• Engage the machine: align the guide wheels on the overlap, ensure the pressure roller is properly pressing the membranes together, then start the automatic drive to move the unit forward. Monitor the weld bead visually for uniformity and full connection. 
• While running, periodically check that the heater is maintaining set temperature, the drive speed remains steady, and the weld is defect-free (no gaps, voids or lifting). If necessary, adjust speed or temperature to correct the seam quality. 
• After completing the run, switch off the machine, allow it to cool, perform a visual inspection of the seam, clean the nozzle and pressure roller of any residue, and store the machine in a dry, protected environment per the manual.
