Description
The Marathon Aluminum Gutter Drain retrofit series (BGUTTERALB variants) is designed for tight roof conditions such as gutters or corners where removal of existing drains is difficult. Constructed with a heavy gauge spun aluminum body, each drain includes options for ProSeal mechanical seal or tape seal, and choices between stainless steel snap-on flat grates or 5″ aluminum strainers. All models come with an 8″ × 8″ flange and a 12″ outlet, and are available in 3″ and 4″ sizes.

How To
- Determine whether you need a 3″ or 4″ outlet variant, and whether you want ProSeal or Tape seal, and which strainer type.

Clean the existing drain area and ensure roof deck is clear.

Place aluminum gutter drain so flange lies flat on the roof surface with a 12″ outlet aligned with existing pipe.

If using ProSeal, compress it using the ProSeal screwdriver tool; if using tape seal, install accordingly.

Snap on or bolt the chosen strainer or grate (stainless steel or aluminum).

Flash flange as required (PVC/TPO coatings available if specified).
