Installation Notes
Step 1: Determine the exact dimension of the existing drain pipe. Select the appropriate drain to fit inside the pipe. Retrofit drains may be set in a shallow bowl or directly on roof membrane with deck opening at least 1" greater than the leader size into which the drain is inserted.
Step 2: If supplied with expanding tape, remove the exterior restraining tape and immediately set the retrofit drain in place. The released tape gradually expands to fill the space between the drain and existing drain sleeve, helping make the connection watertight.
Step 3: Flash the drain flange in accordance with the membrane manufacturer’s instructions.
