Description
The Bilco RPRS7 Replacement Door Latch is a zinc plated latch assembly intended for roof hatches with a 1″ cover. It includes required zinc plated bolts and self-tappers, and a 4-5/8″ shaft for proper handle reach. The latch is chrome sealed for enhanced corrosion resistance and designed to retrofit without replacing the cover.

How To
- Measure your hatch cover thickness to confirm it is compatible with a 1″ cover.

Remove existing latch: unscrew fasteners, extract latch body and shaft.

Position new RPRS7 latch body in place, align mounting holes.

Install the 7 SD3-Y self-tappers and 1 SD3-1-Y fastener as provided. Tighten and test latch operation.
FAQs
Q: Will RPRS7 work for covers thicker than 1″?
A: No. The standard RPRS7 with 4-5/8″ shaft is intended for 1″ covers. There are other variants (like RPRS7-1, RPRS7-TB, etc.) for thicker lids.
Q: Is the plating corrosion resistant?
