    Description

This 10-foot insulated whip hose comes as a 3-bundle including A-side, B-side, and an air line, all with 3/8" internal diameter. It features a red scuff guard and foam insulation to help maintain fluid temperatures during spray-foam or adhesive applications. It ensures consistent spray performance by reducing heat loss in the hose bundle.

    Key features:

    • Red scuff guard covering for protection
    • Foam insulation to retain heat
    • 3-bundle hose assembly: A-side, B-side, and air line
    • Differently sized fittings to prevent misconnection
    • Pre-spliced for electrical continuity, no copper run under fittings

    Specifications

    • Internal diameter: 3/8"
    • Bundle protective cover: Red scuff-resistant material
    • Insulation: Foam insulation layer
    • Fitting design: Distinct fitting sizes to prevent misconnection
    • Weight: 7 lbs
    • Package dimensions: 16 in × 16 in × 3.5 in
    • Made in USA

    How To

    • Ensure the hose bundle is compatible with your equipment: confirm the A-side, B-side and air line hoses (each 3/8″ ID) match your plural-component system and that your temperature controller is rated for this hose.
    • Connect the hoses correctly: attach the A-side fluid hose, the B-side fluid hose and the air line to their corresponding ports on your sprayer manifold. Use the color/red scuff-guard jacket to ensure correct identification.
    • Plug in and power the built-in heating element (or temperature control module if required) and set the target fluid temperature range (typically 80 °F-120 °F for adhesive applications) so the hose keeps the resin and isocyanate at optimal temperature.
    • Prior to spraying, purge the lines per your system’s procedure: circulate material until fluid reaches target temperature, check for even flow in both A and B, check that the air line is clear and functioning. Maintain constant pressure and monitor for any drop in fluid temperature or flow.
    • After completing the job or before storage: relieve system pressure, disconnect power, drain or purge residual material if required, inspect the hose bundle for damage (scuff guard, insulation, fittings), coil and store the hose in a dry protected area for best lifespan.

    FAQs

Q: What is the purpose of the heated hose bundle for the PJR system?
    A:
The heated bundle maintains optimal fluid temperature and flow consistency for two-part (A+B) adhesive or spray foam systems, improving spray quality and reducing material waste.

Q: Why is the internal diameter specified as 3/8″ ID and why does that matter?
    A:
A 3/8″ ID helps ensure sufficient flow for high-performance two-component adhesives while minimizing heat loss; mixing and pumping systems are designed around that size.

Q: What features help prevent mis-connection of A and B sides in this hose bundle?
    A:
The hoses are designed with different fitting sizes or color codes (and the scuff guard jacket) so the A- and B-sides cannot be accidentally swapped, which helps prevent mismix or system damage.

Q: What are the insulation and protection features of this hose bundle?
    A:
It includes foam insulation to retain heat, a red (or black) proprietary butyl scuff guard jacket for abrasion/moisture protection, and built-in compatibility for high-performance plural component spray systems.

Q: What routine checks or maintenance should I do on the heated hose bundle?
    A:
Inspect for visible damage to the scuff guard or insulation, check that no fittings are loose or leaking, verify temperature responsiveness before use, and store in a protected, dry location when not in use.
