The Moveable ARS 2x8 is a permanent, flashed roof anchor designed to mount to 2x8 top chords and stay in place for the life of the roof. It provides a low-profile tie-off point you can position to suit the shingle layout, then seal in with the included flashing kit for a clean, watertight finish. Built for single-person fall arrest or restraint with a 5,000 lb rating, it uses heavy-duty hardware for a rigid, durable connection and a molded stem cover to keep water out and the installation discreet.

• Q: Where should I place the anchor for safest use?
  A: Position it over sound structure at the top chords of adjacent 2×4 trusses/rafters, as high above the work area as practical. Keep the tie-off in line with the expected fall path to reduce swing-fall and avoid side- or back-loading.
• Q: How is it secured to the trusses?
  A: Seat the saddles fully on the top chords and lock the anchor with the 3/8" stainless steel detent pin per the instructions. Make sure the truss package is properly braced before anyone ties off. Do not substitute unapproved hardware.
• Q: What connectors and lifelines are compatible?
  A: Use ANSI-compliant locking snap hooks or carabiners with an energy-absorbing lanyard or SRL, maintaining the required fall clearance. Do not set up a horizontal lifeline unless it has been engineered and approved by a qualified person.
• Q: When should it be removed from service?
  A: Take it out of service after any fall event or if you see deformation, corrosion, damaged pins, or any other defect. Perform a pre-use inspection each shift and periodic competent-person inspections. Remove the anchor before roof sheathing goes down and switch to permanent anchors for ongoing work.
