Eternabond - RoofSeal, Tan UV Stable Seam Repair Tape 36mm

EternaBond RoofSeal Tan is designed for use on virtually all roof types and accessories. Incorporating MicroSealant® technology with a UV-stable tan backing, it forms a waterproof, moisture- and air-tight barrier without needing additional sealant. It remains flexible to very low temperatures and adheres to a wide variety of substrates including metal, masonry, wood and membranes.

• Clean and dry the repair area thoroughly; remove rust, scale, dust, talc, oil and grease.
• If the surface is aged, porous or ambient temperature is below 40 °F, apply EternaPrime® before installing.
• Cut the tape to the required length and slowly remove the release liner while aligning the tape into place.
• Press the tape firmly into the repair area, smoothing out any air pockets and ensuring full contact.
• For adjoining strips or wrap-around applications, overlap edges and use a roller or firm hand pressure to secure the bond and inspect for voids.

Q: What surfaces can RoofSeal Tan bond to?
A: It bonds to EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal roofs, tile, shingles, wood, concrete and many other substrates.

Q: How cold can the RoofSeal Tan be installed in?
A: The tape remains flexible down to −70 °F and can be applied in ambient temperatures as low as −20 °F (with primer).

Q: Are silicone-based sealants compatible with this product?
A: No. Silicone-based sealants or lubricants should not be used near the tape as they can interfere with adhesion.

Q: How should RoofSeal Tan be stored and what is the shelf life?
A: Store the tape in its original container at approximately 40 °F to 100 °F (4 °C to 38 °C); under proper storage, it has a shelf life of up to five years.
