    FAQs

    • Q: What is this carabiner rated for?
A: It’s a steel, twist-lock, ANSI Z359.12 connector with a 5,000 lb minimum breaking strength and a 3,600 lb gate rating, suitable for fall arrest or restraint when used in a compliant PFAS.
    • Q: What will it clip to and how big is the opening?
A: The gate opening is about 3/4". It’s intended to connect to standard D-rings, anchor straps, SRL/lanyard hardware, or approved tie-back points that fit within that clearance.
    • Q: Any use limitations I should know about?
A: Avoid side-loading, tri-axial loading, or connecting to incompatible shapes that could depress the gate. Do not use for hoisting/lifting materials. Ensure all connected components are ANSI/OSHA-compliant and sized to prevent roll-out.
    • Q: How do I inspect and care for it?
A: Before each use, check the body and gate for cracks, deformation, corrosion, sharp burrs, or excessive wear; verify smooth, automatic twist-lock closure. Clean with mild soap/water, dry thoroughly, lightly lubricate the hinge/lock as permitted by the manual, and remove from service after any fall event or if the lock doesn’t auto-close and lock.
