What is an SRL?

An SRL is a deceleration device which contains a drum wound line which may be slowly extracted from, or retracted onto, the drum under slight tension during normal employee movement, and which, after onset of a fall, automatically locks the drum and arrests the fall. It absorbs some of the energy of the fall by having a braking mechanism that emulates the stretch of a seat belt.

What is a Leading Edge?

A leading edge is any situation where there is an unprotected side or edge that would be a fall risk for workers at any site. To protect yourself from a leading edge, you can use specific fall protection components that have unique attributes such as Shock Absorption and Sharp Edge Resistance.
