Eternabond - RoofSeal Plus, White UV Stable Seam Repair Tape 60mm

EternaBond RoofSeal Plus White is designed for granulated roofs and surfaces requiring a deeper seal. It uses MicroSealant® adhesive technology bonded to a UV-stable white backing to create a waterproof, moisture- and air-tight barrier. It remains flexible to very low temperatures and adheres to a wide range of roof materials and building substrates.

• Clean and dry the surface thoroughly; remove rust, scale, dust, talc, oil and grease.
• If the surface is porous, granulated, or ambient temperature is below 40 °F, apply EternaPrime® surface primer before installation.
• Cut the tape to required length and peel the release liner gradually while aligning the tape with the repair area.
• Press the tape firmly into place, smoothing out any air pockets and ensuring full contact against the substrate.
• Use a steel or hand roller (or firm hand pressure) to activate the adhesive bond and inspect all edges for full adhesion and seal integrity.

Q: What is the difference between RoofSeal and RoofSeal Plus?
A: RoofSeal Plus features a thicker MicroSealant adhesive layer (approximately 65 mils) designed for rough, granulated or textured substrate surfaces requiring greater seal depth.

Q: Can the RoofSeal Plus White tape be used on metal roofs or just granulated surfaces?
A: Yes, it can also be used on metal roofs, single-ply membranes and many substrates; its extra thickness makes it especially suitable for textured or rough surfaces but does not exclude smoother ones.

Q: How should RoofSeal Plus White be stored and what is the shelf life?
A: Store in its original packaging at appropriate storage temperatures (typically 40 °F to 100 °F) and under proper conditions the shelf life is up to five years.

Q: Are silicone-based sealants compatible with RoofSeal Plus White?
A: No. Silicone-based materials (sealants or lubricants) should not be used near the tape application area as they may interfere with adhesion of the MicroSealant adhesive.
