AES Raptor has realized the need to have extra tie-off points for crew members that are directly assisting the crew working the leading edge. Taking that into consideration, we have introduced an optional Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings that can be installed on either side of the Fall Arrest Engagement Arm. Up to two anchors can be installed on your existing R1000s or we can factory install them with your purchase of a new R1000 or TriRex.
- Sold by the pair
- Easy to Install
- Two rings can be installed on existing R1000s
- Can be factory installed on new R1000 or TriRex
Maximum Tie-off points per system:
R1000: Total of 4 people at any given time (2 fall arrest and 2 fall restraint)
TriRex: Total of 5 people at any given time (3 fall arrest and 2 fall restraint)
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FALL ARREST AND FALL RESTRAINT?
FALL RESTRAINT: A fall restraint system consists of the equipment used to keep an employee from reaching a fall point, such as the edge of a roof or the edge of an elevated working surface.
FALL ARREST: According to the definition in the Federal OSHA standard, a personal fall arrest system means a system used to arrest an employee in a fall from a working level.
WHY ARE THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS ORANGE?
The Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings are orange in order to differentiate between fall arrest and fall restraint. On all the new 2009 models of the R1000 and Tri-Rex, the Fall Arrest Tie-Off Rings are green; on all previous models of the R1000, the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings are red.
HOW MANY CAN I INSTALL ON THE R1000 OR TRIREX?
Two is the maximum number of Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings that can be installed on any AES Mobile fall protection cart.
*Note: If other options such as the Raptor Alert or the Raptor Rescue System are installed on the R1000, it may restrict the use of the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings .
CAN I INSTALL THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS ON MY EXISTING R1000?
Yes, the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings can be installed on any previous version of the R1000.
ARE THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS EASY TO INSTALL?
