Eternabond - RoofSeal, Gray UV Stable Seam Repair Tape 35mm

EternaBond RoofSeal Black tape is a one-step permanent repair system that creates a waterproof, moisture- and air-tight barrier on virtually all roof types and accessories. It features MicroSealant® technology bonded to a UV-stable backing and remains flexible down to –70 °F, resisting thermal shock and leaks. The tape can be cut and folded around objects and adheres to surfaces including metal, masonry, wood and many single-ply systems.

• Clean the repair area thoroughly, removing dust, oil, grease, rust or scale.
• If ambient temperature is below 40 °F or surface is porous, apply EternaPrime® primer and keep tape at room temperature.
• Cut the tape to the required length and peel off the release liner gradually while positioning on the repair area.
• Press the tape firmly into place using hand pressure or a steel roller to activate the adhesive.
• For adjoining strips or wrapping areas, overlap properly and check edges for full adhesion and no voids.

Q: What substrates will RoofSeal Black adhere to?
A: It adheres to a wide range of surfaces including EPDM, TPO, Hypalon, metal roofs, wood, concrete and masonry.

Q: What colors are available in the RoofSeal product line?
A: The product is available in black, white or gray with the UV-stable backing.

Q: Can RoofSeal Black be used in cold weather conditions?
A: Yes. It remains flexible down to –70 °F and can be applied as low as –20 °F with primer and tape pre-warmed.

Q: Are silicone-based sealants compatible with RoofSeal Black tape?
A: No. The manufacturer advises against use of silicone-based sealants or lubricants near the tape as they can interfere with adhesion.
