    FAQs

Q: Why is this model described as “light duty” and not flame retardant?
A: Because the material is 12-mil reinforced polyethylene, which does not meet flame-retardant specifications. The heavy-duty versions use 13-oz laminated polyester and are flame retardant.

Q: Can I attach the hose spout to a floor drain or container?
A: Yes — the built-in drain spout is sized to connect to a standard ¾″ garden hose, allowing you to route leak water to a floor drain, container or safe discharge point.

Q: What anchor points does the tarp have for hanging?
A: Heavy D-rings are sewn into each corner for secure hanging and anchoring; this size (7 ft × 7 ft) does not require additional side D-rings.

Q: Is this size suitable for large ceiling leak coverage?
A: Yes for a focused leak zone; however, for larger areas or multiple leak points you may consider larger sizes or heavy-duty versions listed by the vendor.

Q: Can this tarp be used outdoors or near heat sources?
A: Use caution — since it is not flame retardant and is designed for indoor overhead leak diversion, it may not be suitable near open flames or torch-applied roofing. Always review job-site conditions and safety needs.
